A bug in TexShop 4.20?

Alessandro Andretta
I just downloaded the new version of TS and whenever I use the autocompletion keystroke for environments
Command+Control+C
there is a “92” instead of the \ for the command.
For example when I write
\begin{theorem}
$x = x$
and then I use the keystroke Command+Control+C, I used to get
\end{theorem}
But now I get 92end{theorem}.
Anyone else noticing this behaviour?

Greetings, and thanks to Dick, Herb, and everyone else for their excellent work in developing and maintaining TeX on the Mac.

Howdy,

Did you update using Sparkle or did you download the complete file from the TeXShop Web Site, <https://pages.uoregon.edu/koch/texshop/index.html>?

Good Luck,

Howdy,

Try downloading the full version from the site noted above. That seems to have fixed the 92 problem.

Same here.

So it’s impossible to avoid the 92 bug by using the Sparkle update mechanism from within the app?

Does downloading and installing the full version mess up any customizations  in ~/Library/TeXShop or ~/Library/Preferences/TeXShop?

Howdy,

No, it won't change any preferences, etc., that the Sparkle update wouldn't also change. In this case nothing.

I think the problem has something to do with Sparkle or the Sparkle setup rather than TeXshop itself.
