"can't use..." Please ignore

Nitecki, Zbigniew H.
I apologize for two recent back-to-back queries sent in the last 10 minutes.  I have resolved the problem—please ignore the posts.

Howdy,

Please let me know how you `fixed' the problem. It is clear the document is not in UTF-8 Unicode encoding and I believe it's in MacOSRoman. Assuming that's true you need to add the line

% !TEX encoding = MacOSRoman

to the top of the file and

\usepackage[applemac]{inputenc}

in your preamble.

I was not able to typeset your document because I don't have packages your use.

Good Luck,

Re: "can't use..." Please ignore

Nitecki, Zbigniew H.
I resolved the problem by replacing \abstract{….} with \begin{abstract}….\end{abstract}.

I’m not sure about all the encoding stuff—as I said, the same format had worked before.

Thanks for the attention to my question.
